The pair of gaitas are made up of the female gaita and the male gaita. The first has 5 holes, of which four are for typing and the last one for tuning (the latter is not played).

Traditional Materials
We used the traditional materials in the elaboration, as the heart of the cardon (Cactus wood) a species of cactus that is found in the Caribbean region of Colombia (particularly our gaitas are from the department of Sucre). The head is made of beeswax and charcoal.
Removable mouthpiece
The mouthpiece (traditionally made with duck feathers) is removable, and is made of plastic due to its high resistance and the local prohibition of using duck feathers. This gaita comes with a complete set of mouthpieces, so you can remove it every time you need to keep it safe.
A Collectable Piece of Art!
The deluxe art with which we embellish our flutes is 100% handmade with organic materials and fibers, using an exclusive technique from Colombia and unique design. Every line is layed in the flute body, wich takes about a month to cover the whole body.
Detachable Gaitas
Now we made carefully detachable gaitas, keeping the sound quality as it is, but bringing the chance to separate them in two parts each one, in order to transport it easier.
